The portal is updated every Friday with unique creations from the Blue Bazaar Design Team focusing on a specific theme each week. To view the portal simply enter Blue Bazaar via the main page at www.bluebazaar.com.au.

Now that the Everyday Moments competition has finished, we are beginning a brand NEW CHALLENGE on Blue Bazaar.

 

Every week the BB Design Team creates layouts that follow a particular theme that we have set. Now we are inviting you to be challenged and create your own layout or project interpreting that theme for each week.  As a small incentive:

 - if you complete at least ONE of the weekly themed layouts, we will give you a 5% discount on your next order.

 - if you complete ALL FOUR weekly themed layouts, we will send your next order POSTAGE FREE.

NB—Discounts cannot be combined or applied to any sale orders.

 

All you need to do is upload your layouts to the CHALLENGES—SCRAPPING gallery and include the title of the theme you are following each week. When you wish to redeem your discounts, make a note in the comments field of your order and we will adjust your discounts manually.

 

Each week the design team layouts will help provide some motivation for the theme each week also. We have some great themes planned over the next few months and would love to see your interpretations.

 

Following on from the RECYCLE theme last week, design team member Lisa Garay  has put together a great little mini book made from a paper bag. Read on to see how you too can make this great looking project.

Paper Bag Minibook—Lisa Garay

 

For this mini-book, I re-used some bags that my pastries came in from Starbucks! I loved the texture, color & design that was on the bags, and incorporated that into my design.

 

I took three bags, stacked them together & folded them in half. To bind them, I punched 3 holes with my crop-a-dile, and punched eyelets into the holes. I then tied different colored & textured ribbons through the eyelets. Whenever I make paper-bag mini-books and need to punch through several layers at one time, my crop-a-dile gets the job done- fast & easy!

 

Most of the papers here are Scenic Route from the "Laurel" collection. I also used Daisy D's die-cut tags, 7Gypsies stickers, Creative Imaginations rub-ons, Making Memories small letter stickers, Foof-a-La buttons, misc. address labels from the office supply store, and little odds & ends that I have in my "stash".

 

It was so fun to re-use something that would inevitably end up in the trash & make a keepsake that I know my family will treasure!
