THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our National Scrapbooking Day “weekend”. It was fantastic to meet so many new people and see so many inspiring projects in the gallery.

Monthly Mixed Media Challenge! |
|
Play is not just for children, it is also very important for adults. Play is about freedom, experimenting and having fun. We have come up with a wonderful six month Mixed Media Challenge that gives us license to play!
A new challenge will be set on the Mixed Media Forum on the first day of each month and participants will have until the last day of the month to complete the challenge.
Participants may create mixed media projects of any type for the challenges. Examples of possible projects are ATCs, inchies, a canvas, journal page or shrine. Participants are encouraged to share the results of their projects by posting to the Mixed Media Gallery and by chatting on the challenge threads. This challenge is not about achieving a perfect end product, it is about the process.
Below is the challenge schedule:
Month 1: Pens/Markers—May Challenge due 31st May!
Month 2: Metal
Month 3: Paint (FREE KIT available—details below)
Month 4: Ephemera
Month 5: Texture paste
Month 6: Fabric
As part of Month 3 in our challenge we have a FREE kit available to participants in the Mixed Media challenge. To be eligible for the free kit, you must have completed the challenge for Month 1 and Month 2 by the set deadline for each month. You must have also uploaded your project to the gallery and posted in the Mixed Media Challenge thread on the message board to let us know you have completed each month.
Kit contents include: Small Canvas, Gesso, Gel Medium, Golden Paint (Naphthol Red Med), Kraft Gum Tape, Vintage Text, BasicGrey rubons. |
