This month our CELEBRATED SCRAPPER is Marie Cifuentes. Marie joined BB in February 2005.

We asked Marie a few questions which you can read below:

When and how did you find BB?
I was searching the internet for online scrapbooking shops. I stayed with BB because I love the BB Design Teams style and the enthusiasm of the other scrappers.

When and how were you introduced to scrapbooking?
Although I had kept basic scrapbooks for my kids, I knew nothing about scrapping until The Art Shop opened up near us. They carried a small amount of patterned paper which immediately caught my eye….and then of course, I needed more!

What part of Scrapbooking do you love the most?
It is an artistic outlet combining family memories with imagination. I love trying new techniques.

Share your favourite layout. Why is it your favourite layout?
“Cool”….my son had written this poem and was happily dancing and singing for a couple of days. I love this layout because he wrote the lyrics out so carefully (no small task for him at that time) and because he thought the finished product was pretty cool too!

What is your favourite Scrapbooking book?
Sabrina Ward Harrisons “Messy Thrilling Life”. I like the way she combines the use of paint with journaling and photo’s.

How do you organise your albums?
Too disorganized I’m afraid. I keep my layouts in a box and have quite a few pinned up in my study. I switch them when the mood takes me.

What is your biggest challenge in Scrapbooking?
Trying to maintain a free and easy style, rather than being totally precise, which is more in keeping with my nature.

How often do you scrapbook?
Not as much as I would like….mostly on weekends, in between all the other chores and family happenings.

What are your 3 favourite products you are using at the moment?
My first love is always patterned paper (BasicGrey has been my fave for a long time)…..also all types of rubons and inks.

What are the last 3 products that you bought?
Paper, alcohol inks and ribbon.

What type of camera do you use?
A compact digital Ricoh.

If you could have lunch with 5 people who would they be?
Frida Kahlo, Lex Luthor, Rhonna Farrah, Damien Hirst and Jack Sparrow.
