Accent 1.

For this accent I used the green raffia flower, a Fancy Pants felt flower, Love, Elsie sticker and chipboard button, crocheted Imaginisce flower, and a BasicGrey button. I huddled them together in the corner. I think all of the colors play off each other in such a delightful way!

Accent 2.

This accent is all about layering. I started with the Jenni Bowlin bingo card and layered a stamped image of the notebook over the top of that. I then added a Love, Elsie sticker and a stamped image of the house. For the embellishment cluster I used a cut-out heart, 2 Fancy Pants felt flowers, an Imaginisce brad, a glittered BasicGrey chipboard leaf, a BasicGrey button, and a Love, Elsie button. Cute.

Accent 3.

I still love tied ribbons and I’m not ashamed to say it. I punched three holes in the bottom of this photo and tied some ribbons through them. I added a Fancy Pants felt flourish and a button. Done.

Accent 4.

For this little vignette, I glittered the Maya Road branch and painted the birdie blue. I glued them down and added a Heidi Swapp rub-on crown to the birdies head and a Prima crystal flourish. I also added an Imaginisce crocheted flower and BasicGrey button. I cut out two Queen & Co. felt leaves and glued them all down.

TINY PHOTOS

By Heather Burch

Method 1.
Tiny photo collage. I had a million shots from this day, and I loved them all. Instead of doing a 2-page layout, I decided to print all of my favorite shots in a tiny format. They don’t take away from the main photo, but they do add a ton of whimsy and character. I just pushed them around the layout until I found a combo that I liked.

Method 2.
Single. Sometimes one tiny photo says more than a million. I was using a brightly colored photo at the bottom of three B & W photos and I wanted to bring some colors to the top. I decided to print out a tiny colored photo and then I added wings. Of course.

Method 3.
Line em’ up. I didn’t want to cover up too much of my pretty vintage page, so I thought that three tiny photos would do nicely. And they did. They added some color, but were tiny enough to let my vintage paper show through.

Instructions:

Step 1. Cut a piece of chipboard to 9” X 9” and cover it with the vintage pattern instructions. Apply a thin layer of glue to the edge of the square and glue it to the back of the felt scallop piece.

Step 2.
Take out the chipboard house.  Cover the body of the house and the door with your desired patterned paper.  Add a monogram to the door and rub-on a Heidi Swapp crown above the letter.  Create lines of scallops with the vintage pattern paper and glue them to the roof piece.  Print out three photos to put behind the windows and glue all three chipboard pieces to the background.

Step 3.
For the floral accent corner, first create the vintage pattern flower.  I free-hand cut three flowers (of various sizes). To make them pucker, I put one large glue dot in the center of each one and then crumpled the dot together, and then I used more glue dots to adhere them to each other.  I added a Love, Elsie shaped button and a BasicGrey button to the center.  For the other flower, I layered three Imaginisce flowers and one Fancy Pants crocheted flower.  I covered two BasicGrey chipboard leaves with glitter (set one aside) and I cut out two sections from the Queen and Co. felt trim.  I glued it all down in the right had corner and added an orange butterfly.

Step 4.
For the other side, I covered a BasicGrey chipboard fence with cardstock and glued it down. I added the other glitter leaf and a button to the bottom of the fence.

Step 5.
For the top left corner I added some Love, Elsie stickers and a Jenni Bowlin ticket.

Step 6.
For the hanger, I attached a piece of lace through the scallop holes and added some BasicGrey buttons and Love, Elsie buttons.
