This weeks BB Gallery spotlight is such a sweet layout. So soft and really captured the photo beautifully.  Thanks to Sharon for the inspiration!.

We have exciting news this week with the announcement of our END OF FINANCIAL YEAR SALE below. We will be clearing out overstocked items and providing you with bargains galore!.

This week also we have details about an online class with design team member Emily Falconbridge. If you have ever wanted to dabble in some Freestyle Scrapbooking, a class with Emily will be just what you need.

Congrats to everyone who completed the May Photo a Day challenge.  There has been some amazing photography shared through the gallery and I encourage everyone to have a look at the results. You might just find some inspiration to pep up your photography.

This week we spotlight our (Miss June) Celebrated Scrapper. I hope you enjoy viewing the layouts from a very inspiring and talented scrapbooker.

When and how did you find BB?
I was surfing the internet for Scrapbooking products and information about 2 years ago. I loved the site then and still do now.

What part of Scrapbooking do you love the most?
I love the time to myself, the creativity and that I am creating something lasting and memorable for my children. I have been Scrapbooking long enough now to know that this is not a passing passion or trend….for me at least!

What is your favourite Scrapbooking book?
I love the Designing with….series.

How do you organise your albums?
My albums are not organised. I don’t scrap my photos in any particular order. One day I will at least try and organise them by year. At least my photo library is organised by date.

 

What would be your advice to a new Scrapbooker?
Don’t keep your most loved embellishments or paper for that special layout in the future. You may never do that special layout and there will always be new products on the market by the time you get around to it, so you may never end up using it.  Also, use photos that inspire you. Don’t try to scrap in chronological order if you don’t want to.

 

How often do you scrapbook?
I do something nearly every day.

Share your favourite layout. Why is it your favourite layout?
Usually my last layout is my favourite layout. The layout “Happiness” has a white background which makes all the other colours appear so much more vibrant. I love colour!

What are your 3 favourite products you are using at the moment?
I love the new K-ologie range from K&Co, anything from Heidi Swapp and unmounted stamps from Fontwerks and Sassafrass Lass

If you could have lunch with 5 people who would they be?
My grandparents who passed away in 2002, Jenni Bowlin because her style of Scrapbooking continuously inspires me. Dan Brown (DaVinci Code) and Mel Gibson (Passion of the Christ) just to see how those two heavyweights would thrash it out!

Photography Scavenger Hunt.

 

Each Monday a new clue will be posted in the photography challenges section. Each clue will help you complete the entire scavenger hunt.

The last item will be posted on 26th June and the winner will be announced 30th June.

In total there are at least 10 photos that you will take.

Monthly Challenge:

 

The JUNE CHALLENGE is set by Lisa this month and involves 3 great ideas to incorporate into your layout.

 

1. use a paisley pattern somewhere on your layout.

2. Use something lumpy on your layout, at least 5mm thick

3. Start with the journaling FIRST.  Grab your photo and create your journaling first then delve into your stash to finish your layout off.

Emily is based in sunny California USA and will be rising very early for our class on Friday 30th. If we do not receive enough numbers we may have to cancel this class and only offer the Wednesday class. So be quick and secure your class spot ASAP!

ABOUT THE CLASS: Come and play with Emily as you delve “Beneath the Surface” in more ways then one. Learn photo altering techniques that Emily used in the ’Freestyle’ book, play with acrylic paints and journal beyond the surface. You will receive a suggested materials list, instructions and a questionnaire to prepare journaling.
